Fabregas Expresses His Desire To Retire At Barcelona

Cesc Fabregas has seemingly destroyed any hope that Arsenal had of resigning their former captain as he has said that he wishes to retire at current club Barcelona.

The midfielder left Barcelona at the age of 16 to join the Gunners and returned in 2011, and now has no reason to leave. After Fabregas' Premier League departure there were romours that he may one day return to Arsenal to see out the final years of his playing career, but after squashing these ideas he now sets his sights on winning trophies with Barcelona.

"For me, to win the Champions League with Barca would be the best dream I could have as a football player," he said.

"Our game against AC Milanv is the most important of the season and although people say that Milan are not the same as in previous seasons it will still be a great challenge in a difficult stadium."

The clubs goalkeeper Victor Valedz who has spent his entire career at Nou Camp now wishes to move abroad, however Fabregas has now confirmed that this option is behind him.

"What Victor wants to experience now I went through when I was young and it was fantastic for me," Fabregas said at a press conference.

"But now I have returned and I want to stay, if I can and if I deserve to, forever."
