Stoke Enquire About Butland

TJPSports source's understand that Stoke City have made an enquiry regarding goal keeper Jack Butland after he turned down a move to Chelsea.

Reports suggest that the reason for the 19 year-old's refusal to move to Stamford Bridge is that he is seeking a first team role where he can start as many games as possible. At this current time Birmingham are looking to offload players to reduce their wage bill, meaning they could be willing to say goodbye to the young prospect.

Butland was Great Britains starting keeper during the Olympics last summer and excelled for his country, and it now looks as if the performance hasn't gone unnoticed as Stoke manager Tony Pulis looks to make an offer before the end of the transfer window.

Southampton are the only other club who have made an official bid for Butland, with their £6 million offer getting turned down last summer.
