It is understood that QPR have put in a bid for former Blackburn star Chris Samba, and will be hoping to activate a release clause in his contract.
Rangers manager Harry Redknapp will be hoping to bolster his squad before the end of the transfer window, especially after the hole Ryan Nelson has left in his defence after taking a coaching position in Toronto. It is therefore thought that QPR are eyeing Samba as a possible defencive replacement, providing they can agree a fee with Russian Giants Anzhi Makhachkala.
This is not the first time that QPR have shown an interest in the former Congo international, as they are believed to have made an offer whilst he was at Blackburn.
If Samba was to make a move to Loftus Road, it would see him return to the Premier League for the first time since leaving Blackburn for Anzhi last summer.
