Colocini Could Be On His Way To Argentina

Argentine club San Lorenzo have set Newcastle a deadline as they pursue their interest in skipper Fabricio Coloccini.

It is understood that the Magpies skipper has not handed in a formal resignation, but is extremely keen on a quick departure from the club due to personal reasons. This will be hugely worrying for both Newcastle boss Alan Pardew and all all of the Newcastle fans as they try to persuade the key defender to remain at the club.

Despite the 30 year-old still having three years left on his contract, San Lorenzo are keen on taking advantage of his situation as they attempt to bring him to the club. The club president has insisted that if a deal is to be done, then they will be hoping for a swift conclusion if a deal is to be done. Since rumours arose linking Coloccini, the club have kept there interest a secret despite admitting that they cannot afford him.
