Ferguson Unwilling to Sell Nani

Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has said that he is keen to keep Nani at the club, but only his performance will dictate whether he will be put back into the first team.

Nani initially flourished after the departure of fellow countryman Cristiano Ronaldo on a world-record move to Real Madrid in 2009, however in the last 18 months his influence at the club has only been decreasing.

There are also believed to be fallings out over contract terms with United unwilling to offer the Portuguese international the terms that he is asking for. Yet Ferguson would be a reluctant seller.

"I would definitely prefer to keep him," said Ferguson.

"He is one of the best match winners in the game - and I am including the whole of Europe".

"He has scored the most incredible goals. The boy has a talent for winning matches."
