Milan Holding Talks With Balotelli

According to Sky Italia. AC Milan and Manchester City are undergoing talks regarding a possible move for controversial striker Mario Balotelli.

City manager Roberto Mancini has continuously rubbished talks linking Balotelli with a move back to Italy, and as recently as Monday morning assistant manager David Platt played down talks of a Balotelli exit before Thursdays transfer deadline. However the latest Italian reports beg to differ.

City have since made no further comments, with even Platt seeming to be in the dark when he stood in for Mancini ahead of Tuesdays clash with QPR.

He said: "We've three days left before the deadline, but I haven't heard anything, to be honest. It's speculation.

"It's a shame Robbie's not here, because he might know a lot more than me. As far as we're concerned, he's still a Manchester City player. I'm not aware of any negotiation."

The Italian international, who use to play for AC's main rivals Inter, was labelled as a "bad apple" by the club. However despite this Milan still seem extremely keen on signing the extremely talented 22 year-old.
