Aston Villa manager Paul Lambert has reached a settlement with former club Norwich regarding a dispute between the two following Lambert's exit in the summer.
Lambert joined Villa after not only winning Norwich promotion, but also securing a 12th place finish in their first season back in the Premier League. Due to this, Norwich were very keen on not letting him go as shown by them rejecting his initial resignation, before failing to reach agreement on compensation with Aston Villa.
Lambert and Norwich were both set to sue each other next month with the matter due to appear in front of a Premier League tribunal, however both parties have now reached an agreement.
The two clubs issued a statement reading: "Paul Lambert, Norwich City and Aston Villa have agreed settlement in respect of the dispute regarding Paul Lambert's departure from Norwich City".
"Villa will pay Norwich City the original amount as agreed in the contract between Paul Lambert and Norwich City, and Norwich City will pay Paul Lambert the bonus he was entitled to after completion of the 2011/12 season".
