Rumors have emerged linking Newcastle forward Demba Ba with a move to Arsenal in the January transfer window.
The Senegalese forward has a buy out clause of £7.5 million, and after his recent run of form has seen him score 10 goals in 15 games, but a long term knee injury has made it extremely risky to offer a long term contract. The striker is currently happy at Newcastle but the two seem to be falling out over Ba's alleged £90,000 a week demands.
"Demba Ba averages a goal every 123 minutes in the Premier league this season and I’m sure he would continue to net if he remains fully fit" said manager Alan Pardew. "Arsene Wenger is a shrewd customer in the transfer market and I’m sure the knee problem is something that may lead him to sign Jan-Klaas Huntelaar".
