Balotelli Takes Manchester City to Tribunal

Mario Balotelli will go before a Premier League tribunal this week as he fights a fine imposed by his club Manchester City.

The striker was docked two weeks wages and the end of last season after missing 11 games in all competitions due to bans. Despite Balotelli appealing the fine, the decision was upheld by the club. The Italian did not let this go however and the case will now be heard by a 3 man panel on Wednesday.

Professional Footballers' Association chief executive Gordon Taylor told the BBC: "We try to avoid situations like this wherever possible, but the player and club have not been able to resolve this situation". The forward was sent off the pitch twice last season as well as receiving a ban for stamping on Totenham's Scott Parker's head.
