Liverpool have confirmed that they have signed Nuri Sahin on a one year loan spell from Real Madrid.
Liverpool boss Brendon Rodgers confirmed after Thursdays Europa League victory over Hearts that the club were close to securing the loan, and it was confirmed on Saturday that the Turkish international would be wearing a Reds jersey this season.
Arsenal were among the number of clubs interested in the player, but Rodgers managed to secure the deal for the club, describing his reaction to the move as "very happy".
