Vdic Close To Recovery

Manchester United captain Nemanja Vidic believes that he will soon be over the knee injury which has troubled him for the past three seasons.

The central defender has been limited to only 14 starts since picking up the injury in December 2011 during the clubs Champions League clash with Basil. He was out of action for the remainder of the campaign before requiring another operation in September 2012 and only came back into action during the turn of the year.

Manager Sir Alex Ferguson has taken great care when using his services since the injury but as Vidic grows in confidence he believes that he could be back full time by the end of the season.

"After every game I feel better and better, which is a good sign".

"Sometimes I will get reactions, sometimes not".

"When I have got through two or three months without injuries, I will be fine. It's not long-term. It's normal procedure after this kind of operation".

"We have to manage the knee for the next two or three months and after that it's going to be normal."
