Ferguson: The FA Are Picking On Me

Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson is convinced that the FA are picking on him as he awaits to see if he will be charged for criticising an official.

Ferguson was furious with linesman Simon Beck when he failed to award a penalty during the sides 1-1 draw at Totenham, with the Scotsman convinced that defender Steven Caulker fouled forward Wayne Rooney in the box. The FA now have until Tueasday evening to decide what action to take regarding Fergie's angry outburst after the game, however the manager feels as is he is receiving unfair treatment from the English Football Association.

"I just think it is more about me than what I've said. Whether I think it is unfair or not doesn't matter to them really at this point," he told The Sun.

Fergusson submitted his comments to the FA regarding the linesman which focus on his performance rather than him being bias against united.

"That is what I have put in my letter exactly. But you know the FA," he added.

"You never know. It is one of these things. We are high profile."

When it was put to Ferguson he may not be charged by the FA, he replied: "I wouldn't bet on it."
