Newcastle manager Alan Pardew has admitted that he is powerless to stop star striker Demba Ba from leaving the club in January.
Newcastle signed the forward on free transfer, and he has a clause in his contract which allows him to leave the club if another makes a significant bid (believed to be around £7 million). In an interview the Senegalese International said that Arsenal, one of the clubs interested in a move for the player, represent an attractive proposition. Ba was also quoted being critical about Alan Pardews tactics, but the boss insists that in both instances his remarks were misinterpreted, he also admitted that Ba's future is beyond his control.
