AC Milan have increased speculation that they are preparing a January bid for Manchester City striker Mario Balotelli.
The former Inter Milan front mans future has become uncertain in England after he has only started one game in the last seven in all competitions, as well as only appearing as a substitute during Manchester City's 1-0 defeat to Borussia Dortmund on Tuesday evening which saw them not only fail to qualify for the Champions League, but the Europa League as well.
Speaking before AC Milans Tuesday night Champions League defeat by Zenit St Petersburg, manager Massimiliano Allegri said that Balotelli "is an important player with extraordinary physical and technical qualities". Allegri also hinted that he pictures Balotelli and current Milan forward El Shaarawy as a formidable partnership.
