Walcott Goal Hopes To Promote him to the First Team

Arsenal forward Theo Walcott has admitted that he feels he has done enough to earn a first team spot after his 18th minute goal against German side Schalke in their fourth Champion League game this season.

Walcott, who has only played four games this season scored the opener of the 2-2 draw in the 18th minute after netting his 8th goal in his past 4 games. This can only act as a positive for Walcott whose future has faced scrutiny after the 23 year old refused to sign a contract extension at Arsenal due to his desire to play as a central striker rather than a winger. One which Wenger doesn't seem willing to provide.
