Chelsea captain John Terry is set to have a MRI scan on Monday to determine the severity of the injury which he picked up in the clubs 1-1 draw against Liverpool on Sunday.
The skipper headed home the first goal of the game for the hosts after returning from a 4 match ban in the 20th minute. However his celebrations were short lived 15 minutes later after his sliding tackle on Liverpool striker Luis Suarez ended in the Uruguayan landing on the center-backs awkwardly positioned right leg.
After the incident, Terry instantly made a signal whilst on the floor and after 5 minutes of on the pitch treatment he was stretchered off. It is not yet known the severity of the injury but all will be revealed on Monday.
