Chelsea captain John Terry has announced that he will be retiring from international football. Terry quit England 24 hours before a Football Association trial concerning supposed racial abuse towards Anton Ferdinand.
The defender has said he is leaving because the FA has made his position "untenable" because of these events.
"I would like to thank the England managers who have selected me for my 78 caps.
"I have had great pleasure in sharing that honour with all the players that I've played with.
