Lucas Out For Three Months

Liverpool midfielder Lucas Leiva has suffered another injury set back as he has been ruled out for the next three months due to a thigh injury.

The Brazilian International picked up the injury in warm up before last Sundays draw with Manchester City, in which he only managed 5 minutes before limping off the pitch. This is the second of two serious blows for Lucas, the first being serious knee ligament damage against Chelsea in the League Cup last November which saw him miss the rest of the season.

The Brazilians injury also acts as a massive set back for manager Brendon Rodgers who's new tactics were heavily moulded around the defensive midfielders role in the team. As a result of this, ex Swansea man and new Liverpool signing Joe Allen had to drop back into the defensive role.

Lucas wrote on twitter "No words to describe my feelings at the moment. It has been hard to be positive but I am sure better days will come".
