Joey Barton Looses QPR Captaincy

Following Joey Barton's red card against Manchester City, he has been stripped of his QPR captaincy and deducted 6 weeks wages.

Barton was initially hit with a 12- match ban and a £75,000 fine after being sent off for elbowing Carlos Tevez, and whilst on his way off the pitch, purposely kicking and flooring Sergio Aguero, the went on to attempt a headbutt towards Vincent Kompany.

Following QPR's own reviews they decided to impose further sanctions which meant that he will no longer have the captaincy band and will have to miss 6 weeks wages.
