Manchester City have beaten Manchester United to win the 2012 Barclay's Premier League, also Bolton have joined Blackburn and Wolves in the bottom three meaning that they are relegated to the Npower Championship.
Manchester City defeat Queen Park Rangers 3-2 to pick up all three points, meaning that despite United picking up 3 points in a 1-0 victory over Sunderland, City were able to clench the title with an 8 goal lead on goal difference.
Owen Coyle remains furious with a decision by the referee in which Stokes opening goal came from striker Jon Walters appearing to knock the ball out of Goalkeeper Adam Bogdan's hands and into the net. This meant that the final score was 2-2 resulting in the Wanderers finishing one point behind QPR landing themselves in the relegation zone. This means that they, Blackburn and Wolves will be replaces with Reading, Southampton and the winner of this Saturdays play off final between Blackpool and West Ham.
