Petrov Diagnosed with Leukaemia and Thought to be Retiring

Aston Villa's captain Stiliyan Petrov's agent has denied that the skipper will be retiring after being diagnosed with Leukaemia.

Bulgarian reports were saying that the midfielder said he would be quiting football after an interview with Bulgarian Newspaper Tema Sports. The condition first appeared following last Sunday's defeat over Arsenal, the Villa captain came down with a fever, and was diagnosed following tests shortly after.
